Bridging Gaps Through Basic & Digital Education, Women Empowerment and Skill Development
Over the last 9 months, Aatman Pratishthan has actively engaged in fieldwork to uplift communities in Dwarka Mor, Uttam nagar and Dwarka through core initiatives like : Free Education to all, Computer and Digital Literacy, Women Empowerment, Skill Developmet, and health awareness.
Aatman Pratishthan partnered with several like-minded NGOs to extend its reach into marginalized communities. Through these collaborations, the team conducted regular on-site computer training sessions, providing structured, hands-on learning experiences to students, youth, and women who previously had limited or no access to digital education. These sessions covered essential topics such as basic computer operations, internet use, digital communication tools, and online safety. The initiative aimed not only to improve technical skills but also to build digital confidence, thereby improving participant's future employment prospects and access to information.
Digital Empowerment Through Computer Education
In collaboration with multiple grassroots NGO's, our team conducted weekly digital literacy sessions across underprivileged areas in Delhi. These training programs were specially designed for:
- School and college students
- Women from low-income families
- Youth with limited access to digital tools
Key Impact Highlights:
- 40 training sessions conducted across 3 locations
- Over 80 participants trained in basic to intermediate computer skills
- Topics included MS Office, internet usage, email handling, and online safety
- Collaborated with Navjyoti India Foundation Founded by the visionary Dr. Kiran Bedi to set up computer education centres across underprivileged areas in Delhi
These sessions are helping individuals become digitally confident, improving their ability to access information, employment opportunities, and essential services.
Promoting Menstrual Hygiene – Dwarka Awareness Drive
In May 2025, Aatman Pratishthan co-organized a Menstrual Hygiene Awareness Program in Dwarka, Delhi, to mark World Menstrual Hygiene Day.
This community-driven event focused on:
- Spreading awareness about menstrual health and hygiene
- Breaking taboos and myths surrounding menstruation
- Providing access to safe and affordable sanitary solutions
Event Outcomes:
- 100+ adolescent girls and women participated
- Distribution of 120 menstrual hygiene kits
- Interactive sessions led by health educators and community leaders
We conducted these sessions regularly over a three-month period, reaching multiple locations including urban slums, shelter homes, and community centers. Our collaboration with grassroots organizations enabled us to understand local needs better and tailor the training accordingly.
These joint efforts exemplify the power of partnerships in driving social change. With continued support from our partners, Aatman Pratishthan remains committed to expanding its reach and impact through education and awareness.
